Parking and Pick Up Information
We have been working on getting a better traffic flow since the start of the cold weather. Our first priority is keeping children safe and then trying to resolve issues that prevent a good traffic flow. You can help us with the following:
1. The order of pick up after school is first the buses are let in and then cars are let in to wait in two lanes. If you arrive before the buses, you’ll be directed to park on a side street near the school.
2. When in the pick up lanes, make sure that you have a place ready in your car for your child to get in, so he/she can get in next to a curb and not next to moving traffic.
3. Thank you for not parking on the curb next to the faculty parking lot between 2:40 and 3:45. This will allow a second lane of traffic and the buses to go through. You may park along the curve of the school driveway behind the transit bus, on the side streets of the school, and a few at a time in the faculty parking lot. Please don’t park on the curve in front of the buses, so they can pull directly out and move up if they need to. Once all the buses have left, you may park in the bus parking area. The custodian and school crossing guards will direct you.
4. If you are parked anywhere that is blocking a lane of traffic, you will be asked to please move your car. We have many teachers and staff that are shared between buildings that must be able to get into the faculty parking lot or leave from the parking lot to get to another building. Parents are asked to allow cars to get out and only go through the faculty parking lot to exit.
Thanks for your patience and support.
