Read a Million Minutes
Students and staff at South Side are being challenged!  Challenged to read every day at home so we can together read a million minutes before summer!  There will be two huge incentives for students to reach this goal. One incentive when we reach the half-way point and the other when we reach our goal.  With parents help at home we can do it!
-Our first two weeks of the challenge we read 155,000 minutes!  WOW
-In four weeks of our reading challenge our students and staff have read 365,00 minutes!  We are almost to the halfway point!!
-After six weeks we reached our halfway point of reading a million minutes!  At 500,000 minutes we dyed Mr. Menken's hair green.

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found area is full of winter clothes, boots, and shoes.  If your student is missing something, please come in and check out our Lost and Found and see if it is there.  Also, we encourage parents to write your child's name on the inside of boots and snow pants, as many look very similar.
